TappedIn.org is an interesting online community, meant to be a vehicle for a wide range of educational endevors. The interface is a virtual campus, sign up is free, and you get your own "office". You can move about the campus to different buildings or different rooms. Meetings can be held anywhere people gather, with message boards, chat, and some other things.
